How can I allow applicants to edit some fields in a form, but not others?

Updated Mar 16, 2026

There may be some times when you want applicants to be able to edit certain answers on a form. You can select this setting within the form editor, click the pencil icon to edit the field, and then tick the 'Allow Applicant to Edit' box.

The default will always be that applicant cannot edit answers after submission.

If you select this box, it means that applicants will be able to edit this information, after they have submitted the form.

If you are collecting documents through Eventree, particularly those with expiry dates then you'll need to ensure that the "Allow applicant to edit" box is ticked on the relevant upload fields, so that the outdated documents can be replaced.
